Chicken Adobo

Adobo is one of the traditional cooking in Filipino Cuisine. Soy sauce and vinegar are the main ingredients on this wonderful menu.


1/2 kg Chicken part cut ups
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup vinegar
salt and pepper to taste
laurel leaves
chopped garlic
chopped onion
enough water


1. Saute the garlic, onion, and chicken parts, add the laurel leaves.  Pour the soy sauce, and water and let it boil.
2. Add the vinegar and some sugar. Cover and simmer. Sprinkle the peppercorns, with salt and ground pepper to taste.
3. Serve with steamed rice.
